See the new MCR Video Right Here!

Hey, guys. The band finally put up the official video, so I thought I'd share the love here. See, I, like a good little street-teamer, refuse to link or leak until the band does so. Here you go: "Desolation Row" - My Chemical Romance, from the upcoming Watchmen soundtrack. My Chemical Romance - Desolation Row I love that "Pale Horse," the band from the actual novel, is listed below MCR on the marquee. My favorite part of the video is when Gerard gets arrested. Ha-ha! Look what Cassie just got in the mail: Side A: Side B: That, my droogies, is my limited edition Watchmen vinyl that came three days early and which you can still order here ! Now that you've seen it, you know you want it, right? This happy occasion brings me to something I feel everyone should know. Lean in, a little closer-- okay. If you pre-order, there's a chance you'll get things early. Shocking, right? Every time I have pre-ordered a My Chemical Romance CD/ anything it has gotten to me at least a day before the release date, which is always a joyous moment just as my moment with my Watchmen vinyl was. So, pre-order often and live a happier life. I'm off to try to find a record player somewhere on campus. XoXo c.

Pre-Order Watchmen Vinyl

Beautiful, isn't it? That 12", my friends, is what I just pre-ordered from the My Chemical Romance online store for a mere $11.99 ($16.52 with shipping). That price is a true bargain for the following reasons: °There will only be 3,000 copies of this special edition vinyl. °It comes with artwork from the film. °Epicosity factor = 4,000,000,000 The 12" picture disk has two sides and two tracks. Side A is My Chemical Romance's cover of "Desolation Row" while Side B contains the track "Prison Fight" another from the score of the movie. You honestly can't pass this one up, can you? Pre-order Here! If you don't want to pre-order, you can also wait until January 27th, when the vinyl will be released, but why would you do that when it's on sale now? Do as I say and as I do, readers. XoXo c.

EXCLUSIVE Watchmen Update: More "Desolation Row"

"Gerard and the boys were very cool. This was my first time meeting and working with MCR. I had a blast!" -Joy When Joy Villa of Los Angeles (pictured right with Gerard Way) posted a casting call notification she had received in mid-December on her Myspace blog, a few My Chemical Romance fans got a chance of their lifetimes! A video was being shot for a new My Chem video in support of the upcoming movie release of The Watchmen , and punk-rocker extras were needed! "Two of my new friends came down from up north just to come to the video shoot," Villa, an aspiring model, actress, and singer said. The two friends to whom she is referring came all the way from Washington and Canada, showing just how dedicated MCR fans are, and I'm sure there were others who traveled even farther for the opportunity. Had I known about it, I would have drug myself from Ohio without hesitation. The extras auditioning for the part were to dress in period-correct '80s punk garb, lo...

Who Watches the Watchmen?

Image
Those of you who saw The Dark Knight in theatres also had the treat of feasting your eyes upon something else that was lovely and comic-book related during your movie experience. You, unless you stumbled in late in the dark and probably spilled popcorn on some poor, unsuspecting nerd who thought you did it on purpose, saw the trailer for The Watchmen movie , which is scheduled for release in March, 2009 by Warner Brothers (and 4 days after my birthday, at that). Why is that so special? Well, Watchmen, a 1980s graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons, has been highly regarded as a turning-point publication in the comic book industry- changing views of the traditional "comic book hero." So, this film is "kind of a big deal." Some will only see this movie because of the hype, others will simply want the phenomenal soundtrack that is in the works (featuring My Chemical Romance's cover of Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row"), but s...
