"Neat Neat Neat" [The Damned Cover] - My Chemical Romance, LIVE The lovely Carrie , a long-time MCRmy bud of mine, was kind enough to share this great quality video of MCR's performing The Damned's "Neat Neat Neat" at the show she attended in Des Moines, Iowa. The intro is hilariously awkward, but the cover itself is full of piss and awesomeness, and I love it. I was stoked when they played it during the show and at the soundcheck in Cleveland on April 17 and I got to see it for myself. In an article posted today on Spinner.Com, Alkaline Trio guitarist and co-vocalist Matt Skiba divulged details of the band's upcoming album to be released jointly on Epitaph and the band's own Heart & Skull label in February. Skiba expressed excitement for the fans to hear the album and says that it will more resemble their earlier, more punk-fueled work than their previous few releases. Skiba said the 11-track album was written in a similar manner to their first album, Goddammit , the simple approach resulting in what Skiba described as "a record that we could easily play live." Fans of the signature dark emotion of Alkaline Trio will not be disappointed; as, Skiba mentioned that the some of the songwriting on their upcoming release centered around very personal and tragic events in the band members' lives. Some of you may have noticed that I neglected my lyric segment last week, and my lyric choice today will provide some explanation for that. Every once in a while, I go through phases where I hit an emotional bottom, and I have to struggle to bring myself back to some sort of relative surface. This last struggle I had lasted for almost a month, and I could hardly bring myself to move, let alone share lyrics, but I'm back, and the lyrics I am providing this week are from one of the songs that helped me through.
