Sorry I've been slacking with my weekly lyrics, but this week I'm on it, so don't yell at me! The first time I heard Alexisonfire's ("Alexis on fire", not "Alex is on fire") "This Could be Anywhere in the World", I wanted to hear it again and again because of its addicting chorus melodies and the sheer beauty of the vocals, both screaming and singing. There's something heart-wrenching about the music of this song, a sort of desperation that mirrors the lyrics. This song is very appropriate in today's economy.
