My Chemical Romance perform Reworked version of "Skylines and Turnstiles" [VIDEO]

Last night in Detroit, My Chemical Romance performed a reworked, quieter version of "Skylines and Turnstiles," in honor of the tragedy that the song is about on the tenth year anniversary of its having been written.

MCR frontman Gerard Way penned "Skylines and Turnstiles" after having witnessed the September 11 attacks firsthand. Seeing such a tragedy, as he has often explained, motivated him to want to do something more with his life to help others. Ultimately, what came of that inspiration was MCR.

"All we ever want to do is inspire somebody to be who they want to be and to give them a little bit of hope," Way said introducing the song last night.

PS: I saw MCR in Indiana on September 10 and will be seeing them again tomorrow in Cleveland. I will have reviews up here as soon as possible!

ive seen some amazing mcr moments live, from there comeback show in hammersmith last year, finally getting to see vampires will never hurt you live, the black parade announcement concert but this takes the cake. beautiful reworking of the song that started it all, an audience in awe, and just a magical moment. im happy to see they have not forgotten there roots, and are still just in touch with where they came from. long live mcr.

This is great job to urge new way of life among the people who were under the fear of 9/11 that was terrible incident which no one can forget easily but it's a time to look forward for better life.
