My Chemical Romance Digest: September 25-October 8
Here's an outline of what's been going on in the My Chemical Romance world since my previous "MCR digest" post on September 23.
Note: I'm going to try to start making these posts a bit closer together. Say, every 5 days?

September 28
GERARD WAY performed with GRANT MORRISON and JAMES DEWEES on the opening night of Morrisoncon in Las Vegas, then spoke on a music panel the next day.
From fan accounts, I gather that the 'con was very intimate, Gerard was extremely friendly and it was an all-around awesome time.
Check out videos below of the performance and part of Gerard's panel. Thanks to Paloma Perez, the lovely lady I interviewed for my review of MCR's Chicago show in December, 2010!

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE's FRANK IERO describes new MCR album as "bleak" and "elaborate"

He also talked about his Phant-o-matic guitar and the MCR songwriting process in a new interview with Epiphone!
"I think we probably talk about music in more abstract terms than we do in musical vernacular. Colors, feelings, and setting--all of these come into play when making My Chem songs. We try very hard to use music to convey emotion and to transport the listener. I think that's why we reference so much film while making music. Our songs are very much tied to the visual. Sometimes we only see the scene in our heads, but if you listen hard enough maybe you can see it too."October 3
Comic Book Resources posted their interview with Gerard at Morrisoncon.
In the new interview, Way talked about The Umbrella Academy film ("...it's really up to the powers that be if they want to make this movie") and, uh...shaved his face.

The October 3 issue of Kerrang! milked the idea of MCR's "binned" album by throwing together an article with a "bin" theme (U.S.: "trashcan" theme.) [scans here]

Celebrating the most wonderful time of the calendar year, MCR have added the "Pure Fucking Evil" t-shirt (left), designed by Frank Iero, to their online store.
And, speaking of, calendars, they added one of those, too.
October 5
